About Max Mariola

From child to Chef is a short step, if there is passion.
I want to tell you a secret right away: the step is short but the effort is great, no point in lying.
I left school early to work alongside my father in a historic artisan workshop in the center of Rome, which dealt with precious metals.

When he suddenly disappeared, I realized that postponing my dream – cooking until I became an ambassador of Italian cuisine in the world – made no sense, so I gave up the tools for galvanic rhodium plating and I took to the stove, heart and soul. I started as a handyman in a famous restaurant on the outskirts of Rome, then landed in the stove and earned the opportunity to work alongside some of the best professionals in the sector (one above all, Fulvio Pierangelini). In the meantime, chef Laura Ravaioli wanted me at her side in front of the cameras of Gambero Rosso Channel: that’s how my career as a showman began.
