Can a chipped or broken marble top be repaired?
Yes, almost always. That is the short answer, and it holds for damage that looks final. A top split in two can be repaired. A visible stain — the kind everyone around it has given up on — comes out. Marble is not a material you throw away when it is damaged: it is stone, and stone can be worked again.
What changes the outcome is not the kind of damage but how far it extends. That is why we do not answer this over the phone: we need to see it.
What can be recovered
Chips on edges and corners are the most common case, and the simplest. Scratches and dull patches are recovered by bringing the surface back to its finish. Stains that have gone into the stone come out — they are the ones we discuss in the guide on marble stains and etching. A broken top goes back together: what matters is where the break runs and how far, not the fact that the piece is in two.
Most of what you find online about this is fillers and pastes to buy. They work on a service floor. On a top you look at closely, and against the light, the retouch shows — and then you have two problems instead of one.
How we work
We come and collect the piece. We take it to our factory, where the machines that made it are. When it is finished we bring it back where we took it from and put it back in place.
We do not ask you to pack anything, ship anything or find a carrier. The piece leaves your home and comes back to it.

Where to start
With a photograph. Send us two or three shots of the damage — one close up and one showing the whole top — and the dimensions of the piece. With those we will tell you whether it can be repaired, what it involves and what it costs.
If the marble has just been stained and the stain is fresh, do not pour anything on it and do not try products: removing whatever spilled and taking a photograph is already the best thing to do.
